The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has established a dedicated task force in partnership with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to investigate a surge of attacks targeting Tesla facilities and vehicles across North America.

The announcement comes after authorities discovered multiple incendiary devices at a Tesla showroom in Austin, Texas - the company's headquarters location. According to reports, there have been approximately 80 documented incidents of vandalism and arson involving Tesla vehicles throughout the United States and Canada, alongside peaceful protests at company locations.

FBI Director Kash Patel classified these attacks as acts of domestic terrorism, stating that perpetrators "will be pursued, caught, and brought to justice." The agency confirmed it is intensifying efforts to coordinate responses to the violent activities directed at the electric vehicle manufacturer.

The wave of incidents has drawn attention from senior government officials. President Donald Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick have publicly condemned the attacks. During a recent Tesla event, CEO Elon Musk addressed the situation, urging those responsible for burning Tesla vehicles to "stop being psycho!"

In a recent incident in West Palm Beach, Florida, law enforcement arrested an individual for allegedly driving his vehicle toward protesters outside a Tesla showroom. The suspect was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The FBI spokesperson emphasized that acts of violence, vandalism, and domestic terrorism targeting Tesla will be investigated with maximum resources, highlighting the agency's commitment to protecting American citizens and businesses from such threats.
