Law enforcement agencies across 38 countries have shut down Kidflix, one of the world's largest online platforms distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in a major operation led by Europol.
The platform's central server, containing approximately 72,000 videos, was seized on March 11, 2025, through coordinated efforts by German and Dutch authorities. The operation, codenamed "Operation Stream," has resulted in 79 arrests so far and the identification of 1,393 suspects worldwide.
According to Europol, Kidflix had amassed around 1.8 million users between April 2022 and March 2025. The platform, which launched in 2021, accumulated a catalog of 91,000 unique videos, with approximately 3.5 new videos being uploaded every hour.
The platform operated on a cryptocurrency-based payment system where users purchased tokens to access content. Members could earn additional tokens by uploading new material, verifying video descriptions, and categorizing content. Each video was available in multiple quality versions, allowing users to preview content before paying to unlock higher-quality versions.
"The digital dimension has driven a rapid evolution in online child sexual exploitation," said Catherine De Bolle, Europol Executive Director. "There are real victims behind these crimes, and those victims are children."
The investigation has led to the protection of 39 children and the seizure of over 3,000 electronic devices. Some arrested individuals are suspected of not only sharing content but also directly abusing children.
Participating nations included the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Australia, Canada, and numerous other European countries. The investigation remains active as authorities continue to analyze evidence and track down additional suspects.
This operation represents the largest coordinated effort to combat child sexual exploitation in Europol's history, demonstrating international law enforcement's commitment to protecting children and bringing perpetrators to justice.
